The Air Jordan 13 “Lakers�?is dedicated to the Los Angeles Lakers and, more specifically, a memorable showdown between Michael Jordan and a young Kobe Bryant. Jordan, then in his final season with the Chicago Bulls, faced off against Bryant while wearing the Air Jordan 13 “Chicago�?in 1998. The “Lakers�?colorway features the same color blocking as the original makeup and substitutes the Lakers�?“Forum Blue�?hue along the heel and mudguard. The dotted white leather upper is contrasted by a smooth white leather toe. A holographic emblem denoting Jordan’s “Black Cat�?nickname, meant to resemble a panther’s eye, can be found on the heel. Black embroidered Jumpman branding appears on the tongue. Black midsole pods finish off the look. The Air Jordan 13 “Lakers�?was released on July 19, 2019.
